Uniform and Equipment

Being Learning Ready!

Routine is key at Secondary School to make sure you maximize your learning power! Make sure you agree a routine with your parents / carers where you organize yourself ready for the day ahead.

  • Homework is best done earlier in the evening rather than just before you go to bed etc. Be a good organizer and then you can enjoy your personal time and hobbies.

  • Ensure you have all of the uniform / equipment / school bag packed for the day, including PE Kit. You are issued with a locker, so if you want to keep key items in there hat might help!

  • Try to have a learning environment space at home for your homework, a clear desk or time when you can use the dining table! Make sure you have basic equipment at home, such as pencils, pens, paper, rulers, thesaurus and plastic-wallets / folders.

  • You can access ICT equipment at the Academy during 'Get Ahead Club', or during lunchtime ICT club if there is a computer based homework.

  • Check any key dates for the week ahead, these are also on the website. Make sure you know key dates such as subject deadlines, school photographs, educational visits and charity days.
