Kearsley Academy more able students on the BBC

As part of the Ten Pieces project for the BBC our students attended the live lesson held at BBC Media City. So impressive were our students that they made the big screen! (21mins in and also questions at 38mins in..)

Well done to our students and Thankyou Mr C. Duffy - Leader of Music.

Well Done Oliver Fielding for winning Bolton Student Of The Year!

url.jpg We are delighted to announce that one of our Year 11 students, Oliver Fielding, has won The Bolton News 'Student of the Year' award. Oliver won the award out of all students across Bolton. His great GCSE achievement of 8A*'s, 2A's and a B in his grades. as well as his contribution to Academy life through student council, charity and community work make him a well deserved winner!

More Able Musicians Visit Media City for the BBC!

We are excited that more able musicians from Year 7 and 8 are visiting Media City this Thursday. This is part of the BBC Ten Pieces, encouraging young people to engage with Classical Music. This will be streamed live from the BBC! We are very proud to be part of this amazing experience.

Esafety Week

a_website_esafety1.png SMSC Assembly. Making the internet a better place is very important for all staff, students and volunteers at Kearsley Academy. Our Director of Behaviour and Safety will teach pupils to adopt safe and responsible practices in using new technologies. The safe use of new technologies and digital footprints are promoted through whole school assemblies, student workshops and staff training.

Key features of the e-safety week at Kearsley Academy will focus on content, conduct and contact.
