Remembering Kaine

Dear all,
Following my letter to parents and students regarding the very sad news that Year 11 student Kaine Shuttleworth passed away with Cystic Fibrosis, I would like to let you know one of the ways in which we plan to honour him.
Kaine had been incredibly brave during his illness and his courage throughout his time at Kearsley Academy was wonderous. Kaine was a much loved and extremely popular student at Kearsley Academy who played a vibrant role within our school community. We are so proud that Kaine was a student at Kearsley Academy, he was an incredibly talented and ambitious young man who was popular with all.

Kaine was an avid reader who loved learning and the library at Kearsley Academy will be named in his memory, the ‘Kaine Shuttleworth Library’.
Students and staff will be donating books to the library. If you would also like to donate a book in Kaine’s memory then this would be most welcome.
Year 11 students and the Academy will also be raising awareness of Cystic Fibrosis through a charity day on the last day of Summer Term, Friday 24th July.
Can I also comment on how brave and commendable our staff and students have been during this extremely sad time.
Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.

Yours Sincerely,
Miss S Pountain
