Screen_Shot_2015-01-29_at_15.02_.36_.png The Bolton News has reported that Kearsley Academy is one of only six schools in Bolton who have seen an improvement in GCSE results following the publishing of the secondary school performance tables today.

This is a fantastic achievement as the report states that the way GCSE figures were calculated had some changes and this is why some schools saw a dip in their results. Despite the national decrease in achievement, students and staff at the Academy saw their hard work pay off to achieve an increase in 5A* - C grades from the previous year. We are really proud of all our students, past and present, for their fantastic achievements.

The Academy is going from strength to strength and we are delighted with our year-on-year improvement. Supported by the efforts of staff, our students have achieved an excellent platform now to go onto post-16 courses in our high performing sixth form where over 70 per cent of the grades this year were in the top A*-B category. It is all part of the continuing success story of Kearsley Academy. Miss S Pountain, Principal.
