The Children's University scheme continued in full flow over the half term with opportunities for students to gain an additional 12 hours over 2 days.

Day 1 consisted of workshops that offered Dance taught by our fantastic year 11 Performing Arts students and Miss Connor, Cooking with Ms Lowe and the History of the Pendle Witches with Mr Darlington.

Day 2 was a trip to Ingleborough Caves. We set off early and headed off to the Yorkshire Dales taking over 50 students as we boarded the coach. After a brief walk through Ingleborough Estate we arrived at the caves and got our head gear on and set off through the dark entrance for a journey into the unknown. The tour guide, an ex pupil of St Stephens, praised Kearsley Academy students for their interest, imagination and respect for the local area and its history. The caves were fantastic and have sparked further intrigue from students wanting to further explore what England and their local areas have to offer.
